For years I struggled with being happy with who I was, and it wasn’t until recently that I started going after the things that would help build a beautiful, fit soul. If you want to find happiness, know it’s not impossible to do, it just may take some time and effort.
For me, a beautiful and fit soul is someone who is completely happy with who they are in the present moment, they know where they are heading, and they know who they want to be. For example: I am currently happy with who I am at this present moment. Even though I have not achieved all of my health and spiritual related goals yet, I am still happy to be where I am now. I currently have a plan for where I want to be in the next 6 months to a year, and that goal is what drives me to stay focused. In the end, I want to be a fit wife, friend, and coach to those who need me to help them in their fitness, wellness, and spiritual journey.
Building a fit soul will not happen over night, but you can certainly take some steps to get there. I would suggest sitting down by yourself and ask yourself, “Who is it truly that I want to be?” There is no right or wrong answer here. Who you want to be and the goals you want to achieve are fully personal and beautiful to who you were made to be. Once you find that answer, start writing out goals to get there. Some examples of my goals to live a healthier lifestyle were: Workout 4-5 times per week, learn to be a food-prep master, start eating healthy and clean, learn more about different diets and lifestyles, read the Bible daily to help build up my spiritual health, and make time for my needs each week so I don’t get burned out. Once I fully emerged myself into a healthy lifestyle, I then could start my next set of goals toward becoming a health and wellness coach.
The next part of my journey is to get my certification in health and wellness. I am starting my online course in July and I am thrilled! I may even take an additional course later in the year to become a fitness instructor (which will open more doors for me). Once I have my certification, this will lay the foundation to help me achieve my ultimate goal: Being a Health and Fitness Coach for my own clients. So exciting! It will take a lot of work, but I am ready to take those steps.
No matter what your end goal is, you need to prepare yourself for the work you’ll need to do to get there. If you don’t want to work for it, and you just want it to fall into your lap, then you may need to rethink the process of building your beautiful and fit soul. Rome wasn’t built in a day.
